Studio H Design

Studio H Design was formed in 1992 providing custom, site-specific artwork, (murals, paintings, graphics) for corporate, hospitality, retail and residential interiors. Del and Marlowe Hermanovski , the owners and creative force, together with staff artists, are capable of producing a wide range of styles from realist to abstract, classical to contemporary in a range of mediums. Approximately 90% of the murals they produce are painted in the studio on large canvas (up to 12′ high x 80′ long) and installed seamless on the clients wall. This of course requires a minimum installation time (generally a few hours) as opposed to the traditional method of painting a mural directly on the wall which could take weeks depending on the size and intricacy.

They have produced artwork for a long list of clients including P.F. Chang’s China Bistro, Preferred Imaging Open MRI, Macaroni Grill, Boston Market, Irving Bible Church, The Potters House Church, and Alcon corp. among others. Their work can be seen in major cities across the United States and internationally in Mexico City, Dubai and Kuwait.

Del Hermanovski was born in Riga, Latvia to a family lineage of architects, designers and artists. Growing up in New York, his hobbies included  drawing, painting and building model planes, cars and boats. Because of this interest his father, an architect and artist, gave him the task of building a model of a house he had designed for singer Tony Bennett. This stimulated his interest in architecture, building and interiors. Del attended Parsons School of Design in NYC and upon graduating was recruited to head the interiors division of a Dallas architectural firm. Supplementing his income by doing renderings for architects and designers for their projects enabled him to start his own interior design, space planning and graphics firm, Hermanovski & Associates. The clientele soon included the Dallas Cowboys, Raymond Nasher, El Centro College, Mort Myerson at EDS, Henry Beck Co., The City of Dallas and Clint Murchison to name a few. He often designed and specified custom furniture, artworks and graphics for his projects which kept him involved in the art and design scene in Dallas. Designing custom murals and artwork for his projects led to the formation of Studio H Design in the early1990’s.

Marlowe was born in Oklahoma City, OK and moved to New York to attend Long Island University where she received a BFA in studio drawing and intended to work in portraiture and illustration. However, while in school she answered an ad for an “artist’s assistant -not afraid of heights” and fortuitously she was the only reply.  She got the job, working on a sky mural over an indoor swimming pool in the Hamptons on Long Island, and that started her on a path in mural painting. She continued this work through school working with such renowned names as London based Mary Gilliatt and Martha Stewart in Long Island, Manhattan and Connecticut.

During a stay with relatives in Dallas, TX she was put in touch with Del Hermanovski and they began working together and have been producing artwork ever since.

In her spare time she has had her own abstract ink paintings in several juried art shows at Craighead Green and The McKinney Avenue Contemporary in Dallas and enjoys doing portraiture and private commissions.
